SF Plaza Hotel

Stayed here for a girls trip. Rooms are basic but have all you need for sleeping, showering and resting up in between activities. The hotel is clean. There is friendly people at the concierge desk all hours. There are tonnes of amazing places to go nearby for food, beverage, and shopping. Everything else was a reasonable Uber drive away. For our trip the room served as a great home base. The hotel is in an older building so the elevator creaks, not much else to complain about. For what we paid, we were happy with what we got.

My overall experience was good. The hotel's location suited my business trip needs, and though not modern, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The price is fair compared to the alternatives in this area. The hotel should offer a minimal coffee and tea service. There are none in the rooms or lobby. It's a small gesture when available and very obvious when spared. One very important thing to know: Do not take rooms at the lower levels that face Chinatown. Homeless are getting there every morning, preaching and shouting. I expected the hotel to deal with this nuisance by calling the police but got an "out of hand" answer. Unless you do not need to sleep over 4:00 am, take that into consideration.

The hotel is in a GREAT location, right next to the China Town Gate and there is super convenient parking right across the street. It’s an OLD building so we had ZERO frills. No mini fridge, no microwave and our TV was small. No central air meant sleeping with the window open. Once we came to terms that it was an old building, we were fine. The breeze was nice but I needed earplugs to sleep soundly. The basics were in place. Our room was clean and the carpeting was new. The closet and restroom were a good size. The water was hot and the pressure was fine. The WiFi worked and the staff was very friendly. SF has so many places to stay, I’ll probably venture to try someplace new the next time I go, but I don’t regret staying there at all. I can’t stress the hotel’s great location enough. We never got lost because everyone knew how to get to the China Town Gate. Over all our experience was positive.

It's a old building and the parking is hard. There is a parking garage across the street that has a good overnight charge for 20 a night so that wasn't bad just a pain to have to haul all ur stuff across the street for unload and load. Like I said was a very old building, but the rooms seem to have been updated. Very limited on plugs in the rooms. Definitely seems more of a budget room. The front desk people were really amazing though so that's definitely a plus. The woman at check out was very nice and helpful. There is no ac in the rooms. That was a little rough for me because our room got pretty hot. But they were very helpful and found a stand yo fan for me. There are fans above the bed but they were blowing up so when I switched it it blew dust everywhere. But knowing what I know now I would probably stay another night.

I am here now having dinner. The hotel is very, very nice. Staff is great and accommodating. So pleased to be here. The on site restaurant and experience is also excellent. We will return.

This hotel might not be the best hotel, but the hotel is rather good for what you pay when you consider the location and such. Additionally, the staff were really kind and friendly. For example, they were willing to give directions and advice on where my family and I could go in San Francisco when we asked. Also, I liked the view outside the window, which overlooked the tops of many buildings. Don't expect too much from here, but it will likely fit your needs!

Was there 5 days, no issues, no bugs, no noise, always polite staff, easy peasy. This isn't the nicest hotel, but if you're a no-frills person like me, it's affordable, convenient, and accessible.

I give this place five stars because of its location, comfortable beds, low price, and amazing shower. It's noisy, but exactly what you'd expect for where it is... Right above the Chinatown Lion Gate. Other than that, the carpet was stained...
